I am BACK!!!

Hellooooo! Remember me? I’m back, at last! Yes, I know. You thought I’d disappeared for good. To be honest, so did I. I completely lost my writing mojo for a while back there.

When you last encountered me, I was attempting to get my life coaching business off the ground. At first, I was extremely enthusiastic and raring to go. But it is so easy to become disillusioned when faced with obstacle after obstacle. As I currently work Monday – Friday at my day job, it is difficult to find the time to commit to anything else, and what I assumed would be fantastic turned out to be a flash in the pan.

I still want to be a freelancer though, and it took eight months of soul searching to finally settle on my future career.

Meet Jo Sexton – Proofreader and Copy-editor.

If you need a proofreader, I’m your girl. My website is currently under construction and I’m extremely excited about this. I have oodles of experience and am very meticulous and passionate about proofreading.

I will share the link to my website once it is up-and-running.

Happy Friday!

Happy, Happy Friday

Happy, happy Friday! Oh, how we miss you throughout the week.

And is this Friday a happy one? Actually, I’m feeling a lot better than I have done recently. This past week in work has been surprisingly uneventful. There was still much to be done with very little help, but I didn’t fall apart. I coped, and I’m here to tell the tale. Proud of myself. 💪🏼

The good news is that they have hired a new manager who will be starting work in two weeks, so things should be looking up. But we will see. Watch this space.

That isn’t the only good news I’ve had (yes, really!) My blog hit 400 likes a week ago, but as I was immersed in a meltdown at the time, I forgot to celebrate. So here it is now – 400 LIKES!! Thank you so much to all of you for sticking by me through my sporadic posting, complaining, and seesaw mood swings. This blog wouldn’t be where it is without ya! 😘

Enjoy your weekend!

It’s Friday. Be Fierce.

It’s Friday again, and I’ve been a naughty girl lately. After beginning 2018 blogging ferociously, I have slowed right down in February. I can’t even explain why. It may have something to do with a few busy weekends, which is when I generally post, and then an inability to motivate myself the rest of the time.

Truthfully though, I haven’t been completely lazy. I have an idea for a book of poetry, and have been researching and creating and posting over on my newly created Instagram page devoted to my potential book. If you want to check it out, you can find it at @fragmentspoetry, and also on my Facebook page of the same name.

This weekend is my first chance to chill out properly since the beginning of the month, and I am hoping to catch up on my blog posts as well as checking out all of your lovely posts.

Happy fierce Friday. 💜

It’s here! Fridayyyyy!!

Literally, if Friday was a person, I would hug the crap off of it!!

Is it me, or has this past week draaaaaaaged so badly! Tuesday, first day back at work after the Christmas break, was officially the longest day ever, but busy with it. Plenty to do after a week off.

The rest of the week though – ugh!

I am so glad Friday is finally here! Friday, I love you!!

It’s Friday, I’m in Love.

It’s my favourite weekday again! That’s Friday, for those of you who haven’t caught on yet. It is time to put my feet up with a good book, and crack open the wine!

That is exactly what I will be doing when I finish work today, as well as putting the heating on as soon as I get home. There is a definite chill in the air! Winter is nearly upon us, bringing the Christmas season with it. Exciting times!

I’ve noticed that a lot more people are kicking off the Yuletide early this year, with Christmas lights already twinkling in some houses. It is difficult to avoid it these days, as the shops are shoving Christmas in our faces from September onwards, and the festive adverts are already on our TV screens.

I must admit, I do love everything Christmassy and will be joining the Christmas decoration brigade in a couple of weeks. There is nothing quite like twinkly lights to brighten up a dark, chilly evening.

Happy Friday! 💜

FriYay!

My favourite day of the working week, at last! And this Friday is particularly momentous as it heralds the beginning of my long-awaited week off work. Yay! I’ll have more time to blog! 😁

I also have a busy weekend ahead, filled with family and food and one or two alcoholic beverages. I’ll need a week to recover!

Have a great weekend! 💜

TFI Friday!

A little harsh, maybe, but it kind of explains how my week has gone. Work is currently a swear word and this Friday couldn’t have come soon enough! I am looking forward to staying home, chilling out, drinking some wine, and watching box sets. I have recently subscribed to Netflix, four years behind everyone else (I certainly know how to move with the times!) and I’ve just finished watching season 1 of The Mist (based on the Stephen King novel). I’m now halfway through season 1 of Bates Motel, which I’m really enjoying. So I have a hot date with my TV this weekend. Wow, I really know how to live! 😉

Have a wonderful weekend! 💜

Thank you!

So today, as well as being Friday and the first day of autumn, has also been the day that my little blog hit a milestone – 100 followers!!

I am so pleased and extremely grateful that so many of you have chosen to join me on my journey, destination as of yet unknown, and I hope that you continue to follow my random posts and reviews.

Thank you all so much for being here! 💜

Friday Love ❤️

We all love a Friday.. don’t we?! Okay, apart from those of us who work weekends. Fortunately, as I don’t work weekends, I am able to love my Fridays freely – hence the name of my blog. 😊

Not everything about this Friday has been good though, I have to admit. I left work early today to take my cat Masai to the vets. He has been under the weather for the past few days. I can’t really pinpoint what it was that was wrong with him as he was eating and going about life as usual. But he was far from normal. For those of you who are familiar with cats, or any pet for that matter – you just know when there is something wrong. This morning, there was no question about it. He refused to eat, he refused to leave the house, and he sat hunched up on the table and let out the occasional pitiful miaow as if he was asking for help. Broke my heart leaving him, so I rang the vet once I’d arrived at work.

Fast forward to early afternoon and I left work and sped home to pick him up, all kinds of worst case scenarios racing through my mind. The vet was incredibly helpful and admitted him straight away to do a barrage of tests. I certainly wasn’t overreacting, which I knew already. It is terrible when your animal is in pain yet can’t tell you exactly what the problem is. You feel helpless. But he is in the right place now, and hopefully will be better by the time I pick him up tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for Masai.

Have a great weekend! 💜
